IRVING, Texas -- Ron Winter’ crew will work Sunday’s game at San Francisco after opening the year with the Washington-New York Giants’ tilt.

Winter did not work a Cowboys’ game in 2010. The last time he had the Cowboys was the 2009 regular-season finale vs. Philadelphia. The Cowboys were penalized 11 times for 80 yards and the Eagles were flagged six times for 58 yards.

In the Redskins-Giants’ game, Winter’s crew called 11 penalties for 88 yards. New York was hit eight times for 63 yards and Washington three times for 25 yards. There were four penalties on special teams’ plays, which bears watching. In that aforementioned Philadelphia game, Winter’s crew had two special teams’ penalties.
