IRVING, Texas -- Laurent Robinson caught 34 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns last year for St. Louis, but the Rams did not make much of an effort to re-sign him in the offseason.
Robinson, who signed with San Diego and ended up with the Cowboys after he was released by the Chargers, does not have any hard feelings toward the Rams but he is looking forward to Sunday’s game.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a little bit,” Robinson said. “I’ll get to see some old friends and show them what I can do.”
In 17 games over two seasons in St. Louis he caught 47 passes for 511 yards and three touchdowns. In four games with the Cowboys he has 12 catches for 208 yards.
“He’s a relatively big receiver,” coach Jason Garrett said on a conference call with St. Louis media Wednesday. “He runs good routes, he has good quickness and speed and he catches the football. He was somebody who was a quick study for us, who came in and was able to understand what we we’re trying to do on offense in a short period of time. He’s been productive for us when he’s gotten his opportunities.”
