Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday’s session with a sore back.

Ware was suffering from back spasms in the second half of Sunday’s loss at New England and the medical staff wanted to give him an extra day of rest. Ware, who is tied for third in the NFL with seven sacks, has not missed a game in his career.

Running back Felix Jones (ankle), guard Derrick Dockery (knee) and defensive end Jason Hatcher (calf) are not practicing.

Fullback Tony Fiammetta (hamstring), kicker David Buehler (groin) and linebacker Bruce Carter (knee) are practicing for the second straight day. Buehler has missed the last three games while Fiammeta has missed the last two. Carter is working his way of the non-football injury list.
