IRVING, Texas -- Less than 24 hours after expressing hope that he would be able to play Sunday against Seattle, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins said he could miss three to four weeks with a hamstring injury.
Without Jenkins, who will have an MRI, Orlando Scandrick would start. Scandrick started in place of Terence Newman in the season opener. Jenkins had been slowed by stinger and shoulder injuries earlier in the season but had not missed a game.
Jenkins suffered the injury early in the third quarter of Sunday's loss at Philadelphia but remained in the game until the fourth quarter. He said Monday the leg felt "about the same," as it did after the game. Jenkins missed two games as a rookie with a hamstring injury.
