IRVING, Texas -- With Sean Lee highly doubtful to play Sunday against Seattle because of a dislocated left wrist, the Cowboys will turn to Keith Brooking and the veteran linebacker is kind of amused by the attention.

“It’s football, I’ve played it my whole life,” said Brooking, a 14-year veteran. “I’m ready for whatever comes my way this game. If I’m out there every snap you better dang believe I’m going to give everything I have and do my best to be in the position I’m supposed to be in to make the plays to help this team win.”

Brooking and Bradie James had seen their snaps greatly decrease this season because of Lee’s play. Brooking has been credited with 36 tackles by the coaches, which is tied for third on the team.

He said Lee was “playing probably better than any linebacker in the league this year, so we’ve all got to make up the slack for that.”

“I knew my role last week when Sean went down and I was comfortable that,” Brooking said. “I accepted that with everything inside of me. Obviously my role will increase this week with his injury. Hopefully we can get him back as soon as possible, but if not I’m willing to do whatever it is.”
