ARLINGTON, Texas -- Keith Brooking and Bradie James aren't that good in pass coverage.
We all know this. It’s not personal. At this point of their careers, they’ve lost a step here or there, and it shows.
So we know that Seattle’s offensive staff has spent the week devising matchups that take advantage of their flaws.
That’s why Jason Garrett and Rob Ryan need to give rookie Bruce Carter an opportunity to show what he can do.
The Cowboys spent a second-round pick on him, even though they knew he would be unavailable in the first quarter of the season, because he had tremendous cover skills, could play sideline to sideline and had a knack for making plays.
Well, this is a game the Cowboys must win. He can help them do it.
This is not the time for Garrett and Ryan to be tentative and focus on all of things he doesn’t know or can’t do.
It’s time to throw the kid out there, and start getting him ready for the second half of the season.
