Tony Romo will serve as holder

ARLINGTON, Texas -- With Mat McBriar out, Tony Romo will serve as Dan Bailey’s holder on point after and field goal attempts against Seattle.

Romo served as Bailey’s holder on a point after attempt last week at Philadelphia. McBriar has been Bailey’s holder and there was a thought that Chris Jones could handle the job because he worked with Bailey in training camp.

Coach Jason Garrett said the team has a number of candidates, and mentioned backup quarterback Jon Kitna as a possibility even though he had never done it before.

Romo last served as the full-time holder later in the 2009 season after Nick Folk had some issues.

Considering the Cowboys are playing the Seahawks, let’s cue the video of Romo dropping the snap on a potential game-winning field goal try in the 2006 wild-card playoff game.
