Felix Jones doesn't get any carries

ARLINGTON, Texas – DeMarco Murray and Felix Jones shared the cover of the Thanksgiving game program. The workload, however, was all Murray’s.

Jones didn’t get a single carry in the Cowboys' 20-19 win over the Dolphins. He had five touches: one reception for four yards and four kickoff returns. Murray carried 22 times for 87 yards.

Their roles seemed pretty clearly defined during last week’s win over Washington. Murray carried 25 times in that game. Jones had only five carries in his first game back from a high ankle sprain.

“Felix is a guy who we really like. He's been such a good football player for us over the last few years," coach Jason Garrett said this week. "He's a dynamic player, a space player, but also a guy who can run between the tackles. He can run and he can catch it, and we want to get him some opportunities.

“At the same time, DeMarco has been playing very well, so we have a plan going in and certainly we adjust those plans as the game unfolds."

The plan against the Dolphins was obviously to feed Murray, and Garrett never felt the need to adjust.
