Listen Listen
Q: Are the Giants playing with plenty of confidence right now, despite that loss to the Packers?

A: Yes, unbelievably, despite a four-game losing streak, the Giants have this aura around them that they have rebounded and turned things around. That is because they played so well against Green Bay, taking the Packers down to a last-second field goal to win the game. This team still has several issues on defense and with the running game but the Giants got some swagger back after playing the Packers so tough. The biggest thing for the Giants is their approach to the game. If they come with energy and all-out effort like they did at New England and against Green Bay, they can win the division. If not, Dallas will win the NFC East.

Q: If the Giants don't make the postseason will Tom Coughlin return?

A: In my mind, it all depends on how the season finishes. Their last two games are against the Jets and Cowboys. If the Giants needed to win those two games to get into the playoffs, and lose in bad fashion, there could be a change. But if it were to come down to the final game against Dallas and the Giants lose a tough one where they played hard and still finished with eight or nine wins, then I could see ownership making an argument to bring him back. It all depends on how this team plays and responds to him down the stretch, in my opinion.

Q: How healthy is the secondary?

A:Safety Kenny Phillips has a MCL sprain and likely will be out this week. Rookie cornerback Prince Amukamara has a back issue he is dealing with but it looks like he will try to play through it. With Phillips likely out, the Giants will probably go with Antrel Rolle and Deon Grant at safeties and you may see rookie Tyler Sash some as well.

Q: Giants play well in Cowboys Stadium. Why is that?

A: They seem to relish the big-game atmosphere of playing against the Cowboys. Typically, Giants games in Dallas are seen on national TV on prime time and the Giants like that. Eli Manning said it always feels like a big game when they play the Cowboys and he has had terrific games at Dallas. Of the 20 games in which Manning has passed for 300 or more yards, three have come at Dallas.

Q: Does Justin Tuck still think Cowboys Stadium is a dump?

A: Tuck doesn't like the Cowboys, period. He doesn't like the star, doesn't like the "America's team" label. The two Giants who despise the Cowboys are Tuck and Jacobs. Those two probably love the fact that the division comes down to Cowboys-Giants.
