IRVING, Texas -- Backup tight end Martellus Bennett returned to practice Tuesday after missing last week because of a rib cage injury.

There were numerous nicked-up players who did participate during a walkthrough session held with no helmets:

Kyle Kosier (foot), Danny McCray (ankle), Mike Jenkins (shoulder), Jay Ratliff (back) and DeMarcus Ware (stinger) attended practice.

Starting center Phil Costa (concussion), quarterback Jon Kitna (back) and nose tackle Josh Brent (knee) did not practice.

DeMarco Murray (ankle) and Barry Church (shoulder) officially went on injured reserve today.

The Cowboys also signed three players: Running back Sammy Morris, cornerback C.J. Wilson and safety Mana Silva.
