IRVING, Texas -- On a Wednesday morning conference call with reporters, Tampa Bay cornerback Ronde Barber was asked did he believe the Cowboys would reach out to his twin brother, former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber, who came out of retirement this summer.
"It's a little late in the game for that," joked Ronde Barber when talking about Tiki signing with the Cowboys. "If that was going to happen that would have happened to us a couple of weeks ago. It was seven weeks ago when we lost [running back Earnest Graham]. But no, he's on to other things, I think at this point."
The Cowboys signed Sammy Morris on Tuesday to backup Jones.
He's expected to play some special teams and get a handful of carries if necessary.
Ronde Barber said while the Cowboys did lose Murray, Jones is quite capable of producing.
"It's not like they dropped off," Barber said. "He had a couple balls out of the backfield and screens, he's explosive I don’t discount his ability to do things in this league. They have a good problem when you have a good back like Felix Jones."
