After releasing punter/kicker Jake Rogers last Friday, the Cowboys have added Delbert Alvarado to the 90-man roster.
Alvarado was close to signing with the team after a rookie minicamp tryout in May but the team opted to claim Rogers off waivers from Tampa Bay instead. Alvarado went to training camp with the Cowboys in 2010.
Alvarado will join kicker Dan Bailey and punter Chris Jones as the Cowboys’ current specialists.
