Cowboys have $7.1 million in salary cap space
The Cowboys officially are $7.188.021 under the salary cap. The cap is a fluid situation, and every draft pick is signed with the exception of first-rounder Morris Claiborne.
With that, we've decided to give you some financial info on some notable projected starters:
DeMarcus Ware: Base salary $4.5 million, cap number $10.3 million
Tony Romo: Base salary $825,000, cap number $8.06 million
Doug Free: Base salary $6 million, cap number $8.06 million
Jason Witten: Base salary $2 million, cap number $5.5 million
Orlando Scandrick: Base salary $7.1 million, cap number $7.7 million
Dez Bryant: Base salary $1.3 million, cap number $3.6 million
Dan Connor: Base salary $800,000, cap number $2.1 million
Brodney Pool: Base salary $1.1 million, cap number $1.2 million
Mackenzy Bernadeau: Base salary $1 million, cap number $1.8 million
Nate Livings: Base salary $1 million, cap number $1 million
Update: The base salaries of Free and Scandrick were lowered this March when the Cowboys restructured some contracts to get salary cap space. Free's base salary is $1.2 million and Scandrick's is $1.2 million.
