Cowboys spent $14.3 million on draft picks
The Cowboys have signed all but one of their seven 2012 draft picks.
First-round pick cornerback Morris Claiborne has yet to sign, but there are no indications that things will get tense between the team and Claiborne's agent, Bus Cook.
The Cowboys have spent $14.3 million in total compensation on the other six picks. The Cowboys had a total of $31.4 million to use for total compensation for all their draft picks and have $17.09 million remaining.
It's interesting to note that third-round pick Tyrone Crawford got a signing bonus of $575,252 this summer, while last year's third rounder, running back DeMarco Murray, picked up $662,500. You could say Murray being a running back from Oklahoma might have gotten him more compensation, and Crawford is probably a year or two a way from making an impact on the team.
Last year, the Cowboys made two selections in the seventh round. Bill Nagy made the opening day roster and Shaun Chapas was cut then brought back to the practice squad. Nagy got a signing bonus of $45,900. This year's seventh-round pick, Caleb McSurdy, signed for $59,400.
