Cowboys with supplemental draft options
It was the Cowboys' first pick in the supplemental draft since getting Darren Benson in 1995.
You can find gems in the supplemental draft, and this year's, on July 12, is no different.
The following players, some with some local ties, are eligible: Boise State defensive back Quaylon Ewing, Utah wide receiver Josh Gordon, Syracuse running back Adam Harris, Iowa State tackle Adrian Haughton, Carson-Newman linebacker Larry Lumpkin, Georgia defensive end Montez Robinson, McMurray wide receiver Houston Tuminello and TCU running back Ed Wesley.
Gordon should be a highly sought after product.
In his sophomore season at Baylor, 2010, Gordon had 42 catches for 714 yards and seven touchdowns. However, he left in 2011 after he was suspended indefinitely for an off-campus drug arrest.
He transferred to Utah but didn't play for an undisclosed reason.
It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys express interest in Gordon, who could add competition to the receiver position.
