IRVING, Texas -- After two days of practices, rookie cornerback and first-round pick Morris Claiborne said his surgically repaired wrist aches at times but not enough to take him off the field.

Claiborne will wear a brace all season.

"It's little Megatron," joked Claiborne of the black brace that has some variable extension controls. "I know Sean Lee uses it and when I got here they got with me right away with the guy who makes them for the Cowboys and got me fitted up."

Jeff Brewer works for All Sports Dynamics and was able to fit Claiborne and Lee for wrist braces. After Lee missed one game last season with a dislocated wrist, he wore a taped club over his hand to protect it. Now completely healed, Lee wears a similar brace to the one Claiborne has.

Claiborne was used in plenty of man-to-man coverage at LSU and the same is going to be expected of him in the NFL. In order to play that way, Claiborne needs to use his hands to control wide receivers as they start their routes.

"They want you to come out here and provide that," Claiborne said of playing man. "That’s what they got me ... I'm having no problems with that so far."
