"We'll see him day to day," Garrett said. "Like a lot of those soft tissue injuries, we just have to see how he responds."
Livings signed a five-year, $18.75 million contract to start at one guard position. They signed Mackenzy Bernadeau to a four-year, $11 million deal, but Bernadeau has yet to practice because he is recovering from knee and hip surgeries.
As a result, the Cowboys are concerned about the offensive line's chemistry being stunted.
"Continuity is always a concern," Garrett said. "Regardless of how much time you play together, you always feel like you want more time, particularly on the offensive line. You'd like to get to that point as quickly as possible, but injuries are a reality in the NFL and you have to deal with them."
