OXNARD, Calif. -- The Cowboys signed wide receiver David Little on Sunday. The team will have to release a player to make the move official.
Little, the 2011 Lone Star Conference receiver of the year, participated in the Cowboys' rookie minicamp this summer but wasn't offered a contract.
With injuries to receivers Saalim Hakim, Miles Austin and Danny Coale, the Cowboys are seeking more bodies for training camp. As it stands, the Cowboys have eight healthy wide receivers, not including Little.
Team executive Stephen Jones said Saturday that the team is looking to sign a wide receiver and quite possibly a running back because of injuries.
