Morris Claiborne excited to make his debut

August, 15, 2012
OXNARD, Calif. -- Cowboys first-round pick Morris Claiborne, who missed the preseason opener with a sprained MCL, said he expects to make his NFL debut Saturday against the San Diego Chargers.

"I'm supposing to be playing this week," Claiborne said after Wednesday's practice. "I'm very excited. It's been awhile. Every time I get comfortable, I get a setback."

Claiborne missed the entire offseason as he recovered from wrist surgery and after he was cleared for training camp he suffered the knee injury.

Claiborne returned to the practice field in a limited role late last week.
