Old-school padding helps Sean Lee
Take the pad he had on his forearm Wednesday. He wore an old leather covered foam pad taped to his left forearm. His right arm had a cut and blood had trickled down the tape job to his wrists.
Two-plus weeks into camp, both arms are covered with bruises.
“I use my arms more than anything,” Lee said. “When I got to tackle somebody and they’re running at you, they come through with elbows and everything. I need (the pad). It’s old school. If I keep getting Charley horses, taking helmets to my arms, I’ll keep it. It could be effective.”
