IRVING, Texas -- Cornerback Mike Jenkins was supposed to practice for the first time this season Saturday.

But Jenkins, who was cleared by doctors for contact after his recovery from shoulder surgery, was excused because of a migraine.

Jenkins was at Valley Ranch and might practice Sunday.

Jenkins' availability was in doubt for the Week 1 game at the New York Giants before his migraine. So while it's not considered a big deal that he missed Saturday's practice session, it increases the chances he won't play Wednesday night.

The Cowboys also missed Andre Holmes (knee sprain), Danny McCray (stinger), Jay Ratliff (ankle) and Matt Johnson (hamstring). McCray said he's feeling better and hopes to practice within the next two days.

McCray said he went the last month of the season without practicing but participated in games.

Jason Witten (spleen) did some work during Saturday's session and his status hasn't officially been determined.
