IRVING, Texas -- As he walked onto the practice field Sunday morning, cornerback Mike Jenkins said to a reporter to take a picture.
Yes, Jenkins has returned to practice after missing the entire offseason and training camp practices as he recovered from shoulder surgery.
He was scheduled to do it Saturday, but a migraine kept him out.
"He had severe migraines," coach Jason Garrett said. "So he came in and just wasn't able to function as a person so we tried our best to get that right. I guess he's at some history with that in the past, so that was the biggest issue."
Wide receiver Andre Holmes (knee) is expected to return to practice Sunday. The Cowboys will release a practice report late Sunday afternoon.
Tight end Jason Witten (spleen), nose tackle Jay Ratliff (ankle), safety Danny McCray (stinger) and safety Matt Johnson (hamstring) were not seen practicing at the open media portion of practice. McCray did some stretching.
Ratliff and Witten's statuses haven't changed. The team isn't sure if either one will play Week 1 at the New York Giants.
Garrett said each player will be evaluated individually in terms of when they will return.
