Source: Cowboys to call up Lance Dunbar
According to a source, Dunbar, who was among the final cuts Saturday, will be added to the roster today and available to play a role in the return game and Cochart will be waived.
Cochart was claimed off waivers from Cincinnati as an insurance policy for Witten, but getting him up to speed with the offense and special teams with only three days of practice was a reach. If he clears waivers, then he can be brought back to the active roster next week.
Dunbar, a North Texas product, had 105 yard on 15 carries in the preseason finale vs. Miami, including a 58-yard touchdown run, and had a 27-yard punt return against the Dolphins.
