Mike Jenkins plans to play at Seattle
And he expects to play Sunday at Seattle.
“That’s the plan,” said Jenkins, who missed the offseason, training camp and preseason games recovering from right shoulder surgery.
Jenkins took part in Monday’s practice after only working on the scout team as the Cowboys prepared to play the New York Gants.
The next question is where will he play? From 2009-11 Jenkins started every game but one he played at right cornerback. Morris Claiborne, the team’s No. 1 pick, is working there now, and he has rarely seen playing time in the slot, where Orlando Scandrick now resides.
“He’s been mostly an outside cornerback for us, so we want to get him back comfortable doing what he does,” coach Jason Garrett said, “but at the same time he has experience playing in this defense.”
