SEATTLE – When the Cowboys return for the second half of Sunday's game, safety Barry Church might be limited with a quadriceps injury.
Church suffered the injury on a second-quarter kickoff and was replaced on defense by Danny McCray. Church was able to return for a few snaps but did not last a full drive. He was spotted on the sideline doing quick, short sprints, but McCray remained with the first-team defense.
Tight end Jason Witten went to the locker room with 31 seconds left in the first half, but no reason was given for his early departure. He had two first-half drops and took a big hit from Kam Chancellor on a 17-yard catch late in the first quarter.
Witten is wearing extra protection across his midsection because of a lacerated spleen suffered Aug. 13 at Oakland. He returned to play the Sept. 5 season opener against the New York Giants and had two catches for 10 yards.
He had three catches in the first half for 47 yards.
