IRVING, Texas – The blocked punt the Cowboys allowed at Seattle made team history. The bad kind.
For the first time, the Cowboys have allowed a blocked punt in three straight seasons -- and they've allowed four in the last five years.
Tampa Bay blocked a punt in the season opener vs. Carolina, and the Cowboys know the Buccaneers will come after them Sunday.
“It’s like Shark Week mentality,” said linebacker Alex Albright, whose availability for the game is in doubt because of a stinger. “Anytime there’s blood in the water and you see a little weakness they like to expose it. They figure if one person can do it then any team can do it. It puts more pressure on us as a group.”
The Cowboys have allowed more than one blocked punt in a season three times (2001, 1989, 1973).
