The Cowboys have no plans to sign McCann.

A roster spot was created when the team released cornerback LeQuan Lewis this week.

McCann signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent and played 11 games from 2010-11. He was released in 2011 and signed with the Oakland Raiders, where he played seven games.

The Raiders released him and he signed with the Baltimore Ravens and participated in one game.

Currently the Cowboys have Mike Jenkins, Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne and Orlando Scandrick as their cornerbacks. The safeties are Gerald Sensabaugh, Danny McCray, Matt Johnson and Eric Frampton.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
