Claiborne had been bothered lately by a sore left knee and was slowed for a spell in training camp with the injury. He was able to walk to the locker room without any help.
Claiborne’s leg appeared to buckle as he was pushed by Smith at the goal line. The officials called Claiborne for pass interference.
