IRVING, Texas --After returning to the lineup from a back injury that cost him three games, starting center Phil Costa returned last week in the loss to Baltimore.

But Costa was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice report because of a sore right knee. He injured the same knee in a game last season against the San Francisco 49ers.

Costa being limited could be precautionary more than anything else.

If Costa is unable to play, it leaves some serious questions at center because Ryan Cook, who replaced Costa at the position, didn't practice because of a hamstring injury.

It would appear Mackenzy Bernadeau would take over at center if Costa's injury gets worse. Derrick Dockery is the most likely choice to play guard if Bernadeau moves to center in Costa's absence. David Arkin could also see some time at either guard or center.

Punter Brian Moorman (groin) and outside linebacker Anthony Spencer (strained pectoral muscle) were also limited in practice. Moorman punted some during the open portion of practice to the media Wednesday. Spencer wasn't dressed in full pads, instead wearing a helmet and shoulder pads with shorts.

Punter Chris Jones (knee), defensive end Sean Lissemore (ankle) and running back DeMarco Murray (foot) didn't practice.
