Jason Witten: 'We know what lies ahead'
The schedule made it even more imperative to win, especially with the New York Giants, Atlanta and Philadelphia on the schedule the next three weeks.
“We’ve got a tough stretch coming up,” tight end Jason Witten said. “We know what New York is like, how good a game that is. We’ve got to clean it up and get better. Three and three through six games, we know what lies ahead and how we’ll need to play.”
The Cowboys beat the Giants to start the season, but they are 0-3 at Cowboys Stadium against their NFC East rivals. Atlanta is the league's only undefeated team (6-0). Philadelphia (3-3) has talent, if not the results to match.
“We really live in a day-to-day, week-to-week world,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We understand that. There’s a lot of speculation about where your team is every week, and it happens in 32 cities around the league … but when you’re involved in it, when you’re a player or a coach directly involved in the football team, you have to live with the day-to-day.”
