IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys running back Felix Jones (bruised knee) returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session.

Jones was wearing a brace on his left knee as he worked on the athletic cords during the portion of practice open to the media.

Also, outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware (flu) was seen at practice wearing a jersey but he didn't have his helmet. He left the fields before team stretching exercises Thursday. It's the second consecutive day Ware didn't practice. Wednesday afternoon, Ware told reporters he would participate. Ware's illness is not considered serious and he's expected to play in Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Running back DeMarco Murray (foot), safety Matt Johnson (hamstring), center Phil Costa (ankle) and defensive end Sean Lissemore (ankle) missed practice.
