Practice report: Dez Bryant back on field
How much Bryant participates in practice will be known later, but the Cowboys anticipate him being able to play Sunday at Atlanta. He would likely not return punts, having not worked in the special teams’ portion part of practice the last two days.
Bryant hurt his hip making what appeared to be a game-winning touchdown catch in the final seconds against the New York Giants, however, it was correctly overturned on replay. Bryant was able to return for the final play of the game.
Defensive end Jason Hatcher also returned to practice after missing Wednesday with a bruised shin. He appeared to be wearing extra protection over his shin in practice. Wide receiver Kevin Ogletree was on the practice field but it was unclear whether he would practice. He did not practice Wednesday because of a hamstring strain.
Linebacker Dan Connor will miss his second day of practice with a stinger.
As expected running back DeMarco Murray (foot), defensive end Sean Lissemore (ankle), safety Matt Johnson (hamstring) and center Phil Costa (ankle) are not practicing.
