ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cornerback Orlando Scandrick is questionable to return because of a left hand injury suffered in the second quarter against Washington.
Scandrick was hit by a teammate on a third-down catch and immediately sprinted to the sidelines. He went to the locker room for further evaluation. The initial announcement was a left forearm injury.
If Scandrick does not return, then the Cowboys do not have a true slot cornerback. On the one series they played nickel defense against the Redskins, safety Charlie Peprah played the slot with Mike Jenkins playing cornerback and Brandon Carr moving to safety.
Pierre Garcon scored a 59-yard touchdown on the play.
Later Carr moved to the nickel corner role.
