IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys have a practice squad spot open with the departure of running back Jamize Olawale to Oakland.
The Raiders signed Olawale to their active roster on Tuesday with injuries at running back. In the preseason opener against Oakland, Olawale carried 12 times for 42 yards.
Olawale, who played wide receiver at North Texas, was among the Cowboys’ final cuts and spent the first 13 weeks of the season on the practice squad. He was invited to the rookie mini-camp after the draft on a tryout basis and earned a contract for a trip to training camp.
