IRVING, Texas -- Rod Marinelli will be the Dallas Cowboys' next defensive line coach.
Marinelli, at Valley Ranch on Friday, will reunite with defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, with whom he worked with for 10 years in Tampa Bay before Marinelli took over as head coach in Detroit in 2006.
Marinelli had been Chicago's defensive coordinator since 2010, but was allowed to move on when the Bears named Marc Trestman their new coach earlier this week. In a way, the Cowboys swapped special teams coach Joe DeCamillis, who added the assistant head coach title in Chicago, for Marinelli because both remained under contract.
