The Cowboys had three free agents visit Valley Ranch on Monday.
The Cowboys have only $102,000 in salary cap space, so making a deal is unlikely at this stage. The Cowboys would have to rework the contract of quarterback Tony Romo and reach a new deal with defensive end Anthony Spencer to clear more salary cap space.
The team is currently in talks with the agents of both players.
Of course the Cowboys can restructure the contracts of several other players to get salary cap space to make a deal with any prospective free agent.
