Cowboys to miss 3 players to start camp

OXNARD, Calif. -- The first day of training camp practices are Sunday, and the Dallas Cowboys will miss their first- and second-team left guards, Nate Livings (foot) and Ronald Leary (calf), to injuries.

Long-snapper L.P. Ladouceur (calf) will also miss the practice.

The three players won't participate in Saturday's conditioning test, scheduled to start at 4 p.m. PT. Coach Jason Garrett said the injuries aren't serious and the players are day-to-day.

The Cowboys endured numerous injuries during the 2012 season, and offseason surgeries could limit practice snaps for certain players -- DeMarcus Ware, Danny Coale, Mackenzy Bernadeau -- in the early stages of training camp.

"We had a number of injuries coming out of last season, and I think our guys did a great job getting those injuries addressed and really doing a great job with their rehab all throughout the offseason," Garrett said. "We had some guys, if you follow our team in OTAs and minicamp, who were limited throughout that time. A number of those guys are back, and they feel much better."
