Injury Report: Ben Bass hurts ankle and Matt Johnson hurts knee

OXNARD, Calif. -- The Dallas Cowboys saw two young players get nicked up during Friday's practice session.

Defensive tackle/end Ben Bass hurt his ankle toward the end of practice and safety Matt Johnson jammed his knee after picking off a pass. Johnson returned to practice but Bass did not.

*Nate Livings (foot) returned to practice with the first-team offense at left guard. The injuries to the offensive line had Livings also getting snaps with the third team at guard.

*Miles Austin and Jason Hatcher each received a veterans day off not because of injury but to give them a rest.

*Ronald Leary (calf), Mackenzy Bernadeau (hamstring), Demetress Bell (conditioning), Jermey Parnell (hamstring), Danny Coale (knee), James Hanna (hamstring), LP Ladouceur (calf), Ike Ikponmwosa (lower leg), Jay Ratliff (hamstring) and Anthony Spencer (knee) missed practice.
