OXNARD, Calif. – B.W. Webb borrowed fellow rookie J.J. Wilcox’s jersey for the final walk-through of training camp to pay tribute to his roommate.

As The Cowboys break camp in Oxnard, ESPN Dallas.com's Todd Archer offers his thoughts on the positives and negatives from camp.

Wilcox left camp Monday because his mother was near death. Marshell Wilcox passed away Tuesday.

Webb wore Wilcox’s No. 27 Friday “just to show him a little love,” the fourth-round cornerback said.

“I’ve talked to him,” Webb said. “He’s doing a little better, but it’s hard right now. Can you imagine losing a parent? I just let him know that I’m here for him.”

Wilcox, a third-round pick, will rejoin the team next week after attending his mother’s funeral.
