Different turnover story for Cowboys

August, 25, 2013
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Jason Garrett’s message to the Cowboys after their 24-18 win against Cincinnati was fairly simple.

And it was the same as the message he delivered in last week’s 12-7 loss at Arizona when the Cowboys turned the ball over six times.

“The story of this game is the turnover ratio,” Garrett said. “We took it away four times from them. We didn’t give it to them. It’s the flip side of what happened last week in Arizona, so there’s a recipe for winning and recipe for losing and it starts with taking care of the football.”

Barry Church started the takeaway fest with a forced fumble at the Dallas 4 on Cincinnati’s first drive. Rookie cornerback B.W. Webb added a second-quarter interception. Safety Jeff Heath forced a third-quarter fumble and cornerback Xavier Brewer ended the game with an interception.
