IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Ben Bass will have a lighter paycheck during Week 1 of the regular season.

Bass was fined $15,750 for a horse-collar tackle of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Josh Johnson in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ 24-18 win on Aug. 24.

With a base salary of $405,000, Bass makes roughly $24,000 per week during the season.

Cornerback Micah Pellerin, who was fined $15,750 for an unnecessary hit against Arizona on Aug. 17, was not fined for a face mask penalty against the Bengals. If Pellerin does not make the final roster, then he does not have to pay the fine.
