Cowboys move practice to AT&T Stadium

9/10/2013

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys will conduct most of their preparation for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with practices at AT&T Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday.

Why?

The heat. With temperatures expected in the upper 90s on Wednesday and Thursday, the Cowboys want to make sure they get enough on-field work instead of paying so much attention to the water breaks. Last week the Cowboys practiced at Valley Ranch when it was hotter but a number of players needed intravenous fluids to recover.

The move to Arlington once again underscores the value of an indoor facility. The Cowboys have been without one since 2009 and will not move into their new facility in Frisco until 2016.

I wonder if the Chiefs will fly a scout or two down to the stadium to take a self-guided tour and watch the Cowboys practice. How would they know they were there?
