IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer was not on the field during the portion of Friday’s practice that was open to the media.

Spencer, who is battling a sore knee that kept him out of the season opener and limited in Week 2 at Kansas City, was limited in Thursday’s practice and did not take part in Wednesday’s practice. George Selvie will start Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

Wide receiver Dez Bryant (back) was taking part in practice and went through red-zone routes on air. On Thursday he did not take part in any drills during the portion of the practice that was open to the media, but was listed as a limited participant. Bryant was moving much better on Friday than he did on Thursday.

Linebacker Ernie Sims (groin) continued his rehab work on the side.

The Cowboys were prepared to move practice to AT&T Stadium because of the rain, but decided to remain at Valley Ranch.
