IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys released guard Ray Dominquez and wide receiver Jamar Newsome from their practice squad on Saturday morning.

On Friday the Cowboys called up defensive end Jason Vega from the practice squad to the active roster because of a shortage of defensive linemen on the 53-man roster.

With the moves made on Saturday, the practice squad is as follows: Wide receiver Tim Benford, safety Jakar Hamilton, cornerback Micah Pellerin and quarterback Alex Tanney.

NFL teams can have as many as eight players on the practice squad.
