IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee started his seventh straight game Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Why is that significant?

He started only six last year before his season ended because of toe surgery.

Lee was credited with 11 tackles in Sunday’s 17-3 win against the Philadelphia Eagles, giving him double figures in five straight games and 88 for the season. Lee also added a tackle for loss, a pass deflection and a fourth-quarter interception of Matt Barkley.

Lee and cornerback Brandon Carr are tied for the team lead in interceptions with two apiece.

He played a big part of why LeSean McCoy was held to only 55 yards rushing.

But was it Lee’s best game?

“He plays a lot of good games,” coach Jason Garrett said. “He certainly was very productive defending the run. He had the interception. But he’s played a lot of really good football games. A few weeks ago, I think in a loss, I don’t know how many tackles he had, 18 or whatever he did, so he’s a pretty darn good football player and he seems to play that way week in and week out.”
