With the Cowboys off this week at the bye week, we take a look at how the team's draft picks have fared.
Pick: Sixth round (No. 185 overall)
What he’s done: Holloman has missed the past four games with a neck injury, but the hope is that he will be able to return for the Nov. 24 meeting against the New York Giants. He has four tackles on defense (all vs. St. Louis) and had four special-teams tackles and a fumble recovery.
Season outlook: With Justin Durant out three to four weeks with a hamstring injury and Ernie Sims not holding up, Holloman could get a look in the final six weeks. It would be a lot to expect a sixth-round pick to help change the fortunes of a defense that has been slumping, but Holloman showed in the preseason he has a nose for the ball.
He finished with 15 tackles, two interceptions, a sack, two pressures and two pass breakups. Given the trouble the Cowboys have had with players in space, Holloman could be an option down the stretch provided his neck is OK.
