The Dallas Cowboys come off the Thanksgiving break week in a first-place tie in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys own the tie-breaker between the teams thanks to an early season victory.
"Everything is starting to build at the right time," defensive end DeMarcus Ware said. "It's getting to that part of the season where you start off having your own identity and doing the right things at the right time of the season. We get some guys back coming into the Monday night game."
And while Lee and Durant are returning, the loss of backup running back Lance Dunbar hurts the Cowboys.
There is some good news, the Cowboys enter December with a two-game win streak and take on a Bears team coming off a bad overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
"Hopefully, you get healthy and you don't have some bad luck right at the end as well," Jerry Jones said. "Those two ingredients are probably the most important thing. But, yeah, you'd like to be playing your best football. And I think coming back the way we did there at the end of the second quarter (against the Oakland Raiders on Thanksgiving Day), I don't know how you can get any better practice with a lot on the line than to get a game like that, and I think that's something our team can build on. And that's what you hoped to have happen with three or four positive endings to maybe get ready to have a big year."
