IRVING, Texas -- Tight end Jason Witten is as old school as they come.

With the cold weather Monday night against the Chicago Bears, Witten will be sleeveless, like the offensive linemen and some of the defensive players.

"Football ain’t meant to be played like that," Witten said of the sleeves. "I don’t know. I do bundle up over there on the bench though. Nah, I don’t let that get in the way. I mean, there is something to be said when you’re out there playing, you’ve got to not wear sleeves. I think Dan Campbell taught me that pretty early in the career."

But Witten's backups, James Hanna and Gavin Escobar, don’t have to follow him without sleeves.

"I let them wear them," Witten said. "I’ve gotten soft. But I bust their chops about it, for sure."
