The Cowboys gave up their second- and third-round picks in a trade with the Washington Redskins to move up to No. 34 overall to take Lawrence, who had 20 sacks in two seasons at Boise State. The Cowboys had him rated as the third-best right defensive end in the draft behind Jadeveon Clowney and Anthony Barr.
The Cowboys’ rookies will practice twice a day on Friday and Saturday at 10:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
