Brooking challenges Eagles' Celek
By Tim MacMahon
The Keith Brooking-Brent Celek back-and-forth, via ESPN 103.3’s Galloway and Company, continued Wednesday.
Celek, the Eagles’ tight end, took offense to Brooking’s comments made on GAC about Donovan McNabb’s departure from Philadelphia. Brooking considers letting the veteran quarterback go a mistake, a point he supported by calling the Eagles’ offense predictable.
Five days later, Celek popped on the 103.3 airwaves and acknowledged that he was irked by Brooking’s comments. Celek declared that he “can’t wait to play” the Cowboys’ fiery inside linebacker again.
That feeling is mutual, as Brooking made clear during his hour-long appearance Wednesday on GAC.
“Oh, he’ll find me, I promise,” Brooking said. “You can print that one. He won’t have to look for me very hard.”
After a moment’s thought, Brooking extended an invitation to his friend from Philly.
“He can jump in the middle of our huddle, if he’s that bad,” Brooking said.
Isn’t it a shame that we have to wait until December for the NFC East rivals to meet again?
